Located only 15 km from the city of Shkodra, in the village of Gjanollë of Guri i Zi, this family-owned farm is quite the hideout. Intimate and friendly, this place is an oasis of tranquility. The Marku family’s hospitability will make you feel instantly at home. Because the guesthouse is surrounded by a stunning landscape, the family will make sure to take you on a pleasant walk around the farm as soon as you arrive. A favorite activity among the guests is the harvesting of fruits and vegetables, which are then freshly served to your table. It is as close to nature and farm fresh as it gets!

Some of the traditional dishes, which are lovingly prepared and served by the lady of the house, include the famous byrek (a traditional savory pie) filled with a variety of toppings, a unique pumpkin soup, a sumptuous rice, onion and tender meat casserole, and delectable desserts that are unique to the region. Partaking in the preparation of all these wonderful dishes is a must! Not only because it is loads of fun but also a rare opportunity to learn some of the region’s well-kept culinary secrets, passed down from previous generations.
