Top 10 Events Not to Miss this September

1. Weekend in the Park, Tirana Amphitheatre, Tirana, 6-7-8 September

If you think the summer fun will end with August, you’re mistaken! On the very first weekend of September, from Friday the 6th to Sunday the 8th, a real weekend bash is coming your way. Organized by IntoAlbania, “Weekend in the Park” will be nicely set up right by the Amphitheater of the Grand Park of Tirana. Electronic music, seasonal cocktails, delicious food, wine tasting and more, will give you and your friends a chance to enjoy life out in the open air, in one of the greenest and most relaxing spaces of the capital. 2. Adrian Paci’s “Prova” exhibition, September 20th, National Gallery, Tirana

One of the most internationally renowned Albanian artists, Adrian Paci, brings his exhibition, curated by Adam Budak, to the National Gallery in Tirana. While not much is known about the exhibition yet, what is  of the utmost certainty is that Paci, like always, will surprise and cause his audience to reflect! 3. Luz Casal Concert, September 14th at Tirana Amphitheater, Grand Park of Tirana

One of the most popular voices in Spain, Luz Casal, is expected to give a fantastic concert at the Tirana Amphitheater, where she will perform her most popular pop and rock hits. Fans of Spanish cinema already know that Casal has contributed two of her hits to famous Spanish Director Pedro Almodovar’s film “Tacones leanos.” Special guest: Ardian Trebicka. 4. Albania-Iceland, Euro 2020 Qualifying Match, September 10th, Elbasan 

No Albanian can forget the adrenaline of the 2016 UEFA European Football Championship, the national team’s performance in the preliminary matches and the thousands of Albanian fans flooding the stadiums of France for the championship matches. That time is here again with the preliminary group matches this month. The next match, Albania-Iceland, will take place on September 10th,  at 8:45 PM at Elbasan Arena in the city of Elbasan. 5. Capital T, Time Capsule, Mother Teresa Square, Tirana, September 19th

The famous Kosovar rapper Capital T will hold a concert at Mother Teresa Square on the very memorable date of 19/09/2019! The square will be filled to the brim with thousands of Capital T fans from all over Albania, Kosovo and the region. The event, a celebration of Capital T’s greatest hits, will start at 7:15 pm and last until midnight. Click here for more.

6. “International Self-Portrait Bienniale” and “International Watercolor Bienniale, III edition”, National Historical Museum, Tirana, September 20

VIZart and IWS Albania (International Water School Albania) have combined their efforts in joining two singular events into one. For those art lovers who are specifically interested in the genre of the self-portrait, mark your calendars! An astounding 400 works of art or more will be on display at the National Historical Museum for this grand joint effort. The event begins on September 20th at 7 pm at the National History Museum. 7. Mjalt’Fest (Honey Fest), Librazhd, September 21st 

Through the participation of top quality beekeepers nationwide, Mjalt’Fest will be much more than just a honey-focused event! Indeed, this is a true local celebration where visitors will be introduced to the traditions, culture, hospitality of the region of Librazhd. 8. Michalis Hatzigiannis Concert, Tirana Amphitheater, September 4th

For fans of modern Greek music, Michalis is one of the most highly regarded names in the current Greek music landscape. It is worth mentioning that he participated in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004, where he and a number of the leading Greek artists gave a unique show to a global audience.
