5 events not to miss this weekend

We are almons in the middle of July, so there are plenty of events to follow all over Albania. Here are our top 5 for this weekend:

1. EbbaneSis in Tour, Friday, July 12th , Tulla Nouvelle – terrace

If you still haven’t decided yet how to spend this Friday night, here’s a fascinating proposal: the Italian duo with their unique singing style of Italian and world-famous songs. Free entrance, at 21:30.

2. International Chamber Music Festival, Durrës, Friday, July 12th

The annual chamber music festival held in Durrës has become a meeting point of music professionals and enthusiasts coming from all over Albania and beyond. This Friday you can enjoy the Spanish duo, composed of Miguel Ángel Ortega Chavaldas in piano and David Martín Gutiérrez in cello. The event starts at 19:30, at the National Archaeological Museum in Durrës.

The duo will perform also in Vlora, on Saturday, July 13th, at the theatre “Petro Marko”, at 19:00, in the frame of the event “Music Landscape Factory 2019”. Free entrance.

3. Classical and Contemporary Ballet, Tirana’s Amphitheater, Saturday, July 13

Ajkun Ballet Theater brings “Legacy – Odyssey of Albania”! Students and ballet professionals are expected to give an enthusiastic show for the public of Tirana. The event takes place at the Amphitheater of Tirana at 20:30. For more information click here.

4. Opening of the Tirana Social Cultural Center, Ish-Uzina e Autotraktoreve, Saturday, July 13th

The old communist fabric known as “Ish-Uzina e Autoraktorwve”, has been completely transformed! Thanks to the socio-cultural initiatives of Toestand (EU), Termokiss (KS), and SCS Tetovo (MKD), and the contribution of passionate young people, this place will turn into a social and cultural hub where anyone can enjoy and be part of the artistic performances. This will surely be the perfect place to socialize as well. Don’t miss the grand opening on July 13th, where you can follow music events, be part of various games, snacks and coktails. 5. Premier “Julius Caesar”, National Experimental Theater “Kujtim Spahivogli”, Saturday, July 13th

One of Shakespeare most famous plays, will be interpreted by the troupe of the National Experimental Theatre, outside the walls of the theatre.
