Easily accessible, on the central Blloku area, this high-rise offers spectacular views of the capital. While it is worth visiting at all times of the day and night, the sunset hour is the most impressive here. The 360 degrees rotating bar is the adult’s version of the Ferris wheel, taking you on a blissful tour around the city while you enjoy your beverage of choice. When you feel a promising sunset coming, run to this place to fully (literally!) enjoy it.
Climbing to the top of Dajti Mountain is incredibly easy with the Dajti Express. The cable car takes you to the top in about 15 minutes while giving you some of the best panoramas of the capital and surrounding forests. Viewing the sunset from this angle is rare (unless you are a professional mountaineer!) and memorable. The best part? As the night falls, the sunset slowly gives way to the twinkling lights of the city. You could spend the entire night enjoying this view. Actually, if you would like to stay the night, there is a hotel-restaurant complex that includes a bar with a rotating rooftop.
During most of the year, sunset time finds the Grand Park of Tirana bursting with people and energy. Many prefer to jog or walk around the park during this hour as the colors of the sunset reflected on the lake are quite inspiring. In fact, for being so close to the city, this park truly transports you to another place and time. From Mother Teresa Square, it only takes a five minute walk to reach the sun as it goes below the horizon.
The slight pyramidal shape of the recently renovated square culminates in the center, the best sunset viewing spot in the entire capital. The sunset beautifully outlines the silhouettes of the Skanderbeg Statue, the new carousel and other monuments in the square. The intense pink and orange hues are reflected on the smooth tiled surface of the square. If you are enjoying a stroll around the city, make sure this moment of the day finds you here!
This may turn out to be an expensive sunset but, if you have the time and money, you should definitely try it out! The swanky restaurant-bar, located inside the high-rise building known as COIN, offers a delicious contemporary menu along with one of the best views of the capital.
